WHO ARE WE?

For many years I have had the greatest pleasure of visiting my sister who lives in Africa. With every visit brings a new adventure, profoundly uplifting and often deeply emotional.  Africa does this, it gets under your skin and into your soul. Bringing together my passion for home decor, textile art, African craft and the affection I have of the people who live there, dada duka was born! It has not been an easy ride getting to where we are now and certainly not without fraught.  But with the knowledge that we are helping support the weavers with employment, keeps us going!  They need us to help them  become self sufficient. Every basket that we buy helps these ladies put food on the table, clothes on they back, pays for health care, clean water and school uniforms for their children, as well as their self esteem.

HOW DO I ORDER?

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our SHOP and click “add to cart” to any items that you wish to buy.  After you have finished your selections, click on ‘Checkout’ in the top right corner where you can review all items and then progress to the Checkout. Our flat rate for delivery will also be added to your checkout. We offer a gift wrapping service at a small cost to you. A message can be added along with the address where it has to be sent. We accept a range of both credit & debit cards payments via Paypal. If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, please contact us by email quoting your order number & details and we will correct the mistake.

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING CHARGES?

UK Orders Only but we aim to cover overseas shortly!

We chose My Hermes Courier for our delivery service.  This offers a door to door service through 10,000 local couriers, offering simple, convenient and affordable parcel delivery. My Hermes has the top leading first time delivery hit rate! which means that you won’t have to travel to a sorting office if you miss the delivery.  Your local courier will attempt to deliver again up to three times. A safe place can be put on your parcel in case you are out; leave with next door neighbour, in the shed, up the apple tree, behind the wellington boots!   All delivery charges will automatically be added at the checkout. Out flat rate for all baskets is £4.98.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?

We aim to deliver your order as quick as possible!

Orders put in on Monday – Friday will be dispatched the next day (excluding bank holidays). Weekend orders will be dispatched the following Monday. Orders should be received in 2-3 days. Please inform us within 14 working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit. This is so we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please email us & quote your order number in all correspondence.

CAN I PLACE A BACK ORDER?

Whilst every basket is completely different in shape, size and weave, if you email us with what you are looking for, we will do everything we can to trace a similar one for you!

WHAT’S YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

We want you to love your basket!  But if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition and packaging within 14 days of receipt. We will either issue a full refund or you can exchange the item for a different basket (subject to stock availability). Prior to returning any basket, please contact us via our email address below quoting your order number plus the details of your requirements. We will then advise you of the correct action to take.
